[Rio brightens at the doll clothes, grinning as the most obvious idea occurs to her.]

Hey, Terry, you aren't busy or anything, right? Because you're a dog.

[What do dogs even have to do. Nothing, right?]

Terry doesn't like the sound of that... he squirms in Rio's hold, but doesn't say anything.

One fear. ]

This is a good way to pass the time ♪

[And with that, she'll begin picking up some of the doll clothes. There's an especially poofy dress among them.]

I think this one will suit you well! It's a nice, bright color compared to your fur...

[And there's even velcro in the back to make it easy to put on! She's gonna try to shift Terry to just one arm so she can start un-velcroing the clothes to put on him.]

[ This is where Terry starts really squirming now. He's trying to get out of Rio's hold, but he's still a baby and doesn't want to use demigod strength on the poor girl. HE DOESN'T WANT TO WEAR DRESSES, EVEN AS A DOG!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ]

Terry the pom just stays still now, frozen. This is his life, I guess. Wearing dresses no matter what form he takes. ]

[Put one pawsie in one sleeve and the other in the next, and...

Congrats Terry, you're adorable. She holds him up, admiring her handiwork.]

[ He whines while being held up. Why this. His tail isn't wagging, but he does move his paws a little as if recreating a dog version of kneading in the air. ]

[She brings him down again so she can tuck him in one arm and pet him with the other.]

[ Do dogs... sing...? Terry doesn't know. Maybe she means the puppy howling? At that question, he can only tilt his head to convey his confusion. ]

Come on, try it! You can probably bark or howl at different notes, right?

Something like "Happy Birthday" should be easy!

[ Oh, he didn't think about that. After staring blankly for about five seconds, he yaps several times as if to test his voice and does a combination of yapping and howling to the tune of "Happy Birthday".

[She laughs at his singing, and it's a girlish, pleasant sound. She hasn't had a good, genuine laugh like this in a while.]

[ Ohh? Terry wonders if that was a genuine laugh. Either way, it was good to hear. He likes seeing and hearing people be happy. He'll just enjoy the hug and make happy whining noises. ]

Can you just stay like this forever? It's so much cuter!

[ He lets out a grumbling whine at that. He would like to be humanoid again, thanks. ]

[Another laugh, this time definitely at his expense.]

What, you don't like being pampered?

[ Terry whines some more, while playfully biting on Rio's finger. It doesn't hurt at all because he has baby teeth and there's no strength behind it either. ]

[Now he's just getting a pupper noogie. Thankfully, she's not actually that rough about it.]

Heheheh... This almost makes up for no cake.

[ aaaaaaaaaaa not the noogie!!! Though Terry doesn't seem to mind it. He wants to get a cake for Rio... :( So he makes up his mind to get one once this flooding fiasco is over and the shops reopen. An entire cake!!

He licks Rio's finger and nuzzles into her hand. ]

[Oh, there's a giggle again.]

Hey, that tickles!

[Still grinning, she carefully sets him down, though she keeps her hand raised to pet him on the head.]

I've probably kept you here long enough. You can go if you want.

[She'll stop tormenting him. ...For now.]

[ Terry wouldn't mind if he stays with Rio a little longer, since it's her birthday and being alone would suck. Besides, he's still in a dress. He whines a little because he likes headpats and nuzzles into her hand. ]

[ He takes everything back!!!

Though, no. He'll keep staying with Rio and be her little dress up dog for as long as she wants for the day. He owes her this much at least, and even if he didn't, well... it's nice to be with someone.
