The memory with the POV person screaming has seen someone enter ego death personally. The one with the bleeding ear had his psyche eaten, presumably by the Shadows, going off of what the Migrants had been spouting. Got anything?
He seems to remember that he was a teammate and some things about him, but not much else. I don't think it's relevant as a whole to our current issues.
I'd rather leave no avenue unexplored if we can. Unless we throw out everything the Daitengu said, he apparently offered up his memories willingly. If he cared that much about his friends, do you think something related to them would be worth that price?
[ 45 sends Rio an audio clip that says the following in Minato's voice:
No matter how bad something was, I wouldn't choose to forget it just because it makes me uncomfortable or whatever. If I asked him to seal the memory, it would have been for a better reason. I forgot some nice things too... it must have been a package deal. ]
See, something like that makes me think it was for something in exchange. Especially since they're basically working for him by telling us to kill the Daitengu.
They may been given the Attendant position by the Kotengu, but perhaps they're more on our side. Alliances are rather difficult in this stage since we're against the big crow, but maybe we can ask the Attendants to see what they think of their allegiance.
Yes. Interested isn't quite the word, but they're definitely more invested in us than just helping the Kotengu. They've been tailoring their requests to help us in a way, too.
Either way, I don't think it's possible for us to take on the Kotengu without their help, so making sure we have that is important.
Minato could also count as a destructive force, even without his Attendant powers. However, the Kotengu could probably take away their powers if it had to. I suppose we can see things from here then with a careful eye on the two. Sounds fair?

Though that kind of reaction makes me think of Souji before Minato if I'm being honest.
It's hard to imagine Minato reacting so much... unless something really big changed.

I genuinely wouldn't have expected that.
So before we met him, he was interested enough in people to become this distressed over losing a friend...
I wonder if his current closed off personality is in some way a defense mechanism against that?

[ The whole "don't need to be friends to work together" thing. ]
The guy who went through ego death was one of his teammates, named Naoya.

But there's something still bothering me a little...
[Please hold while she goes through the memories again.]

But something like that should be safe to ask the attendants about.

[ Or something to bring up to the next meeting, whenever that will be. ]
