Personality: Although she puts on a shy and innocent act, Rio is notably one of the more clever and cunning Blade Children, combining her intelligence with her deadly knowledge of weaponry to smile like an angel and scheme like a devil. She is a ruthless fighter when she needs to be, and can come up with various strategies and tactics for taking on opponents while on the field, making her the team strategist in the case of certain battles. However, if she is among friends or otherwise in an accepting environment her true nature is much more upbeat and playful, switching between teasing her friends and acting the part of a bratty little sister making demands of her older siblings. Like all Blade Children, she finds some glee in violence, but she does her best to reject this side of her as she desires a life of peace where she and her friends no longer have to fight to survive. She cares deeply about her friends and does what she can to keep their morale up even when she falters, clinging to her hopes for a kinder future for all of them.
